Chizuko Kimura

Contemporary Rhythms,
Traditional Cultures

A performance of a tea ceremony
combined with an illustrated lecture
showing aspects of the traditional
cultures of yesterday juxtaposed with
the contemporary rhythms found in
the Japan of today. It focuses on
Kyoto, the country’s cultural capital
and will run for around one hour in total.

Yuko Sekiguchi

Watercolour Artist

Her paintings have now transformed into a search about herself. At the moment her main interest is “Water” and more specifically the “Sea”. Being raised near the coast of the Pacific Ocean, it is a subject naturally close to her heart and her pictures reflect her inner feelings and memories of sounds and smells she’s experienced growing up.

Sonia Leong
